Management Dashboard — Evidence
ProSurvey Apps Limited (company no. 17118570) · Help centre
The Evidence area is where sealed surveys land. It's your searchable record of every completed inspection, with integrity verification and one-click reports. Tiered — Basics for day-to-day use, Deep dive for verification and versions, Technical for how it's stored.
Basics — finding and reading a survey
- Open Evidence from the sidebar.
- The list shows the most recent sealed surveys, newest first, with property, status and date.
- Search by address or reference, or filter by status.
- Click a survey to open it — you'll see the rooms, readings, photos, assessments (HHSRS, condensation, psychrometrics) and the report narrative.
- Click Report to generate a branded, print-ready report; use your browser's print/PDF to save or send it.
Large estates: the list loads the most recent records for speed. Use Load older records at the bottom to page back through history.
Deep dive — integrity & versions
- Verify integrity. Each sealed survey can be checked against its hash chain. A verified record confirms it hasn't been altered since sealing; a broken chain is flagged (quarantined) and raises an alert.
- Quarantine banner. If a record's integrity check fails, a banner appears — the record's bytes are never changed, only flagged, so the original is preserved for investigation. See the tamper runbook for the response process.
- Versions. When an authorised edit is made to a sealed report, a new version is created and chained to the original; every prior version is kept and viewable, so you can see and export the data from any version, not just the latest. (Report versioning is rolling out under the versioning track.)
Technical — how evidence is stored
- Immutable, hash-chained: each finalised survey is sealed with a SHA-256 hash chained to the previous record — tamper-evident and append-only. See Evidence integrity.
- Tenant-scoped: you only ever see your own organisation's evidence; isolation is enforced by server-side security rules, not just the UI.
- Photos: hashed at capture with EXIF provenance (timestamp, camera).
- Export: organisation and subject-access exports include all versions (rolling out under the governance track).
- Residency: stored in the UK (europe-west2). See Infrastructure.
Rollout note: report versioning and the full export surface are being delivered under the versioning/governance tracks — the immutable sealing and integrity verification are live today.
