This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used across HousingSurvey Pro (website, portal and mobile apps), operated by ProSurvey Apps Limited (company number 17118570, England and Wales). It supplements the Privacy Policy.
Our approach
We keep this minimal. Strictly-necessary cookies are always on and require no action from you. On our marketing website and in the portal, we also use a cookie-consent banner: analytics and marketing cookies load only if you click Accept, and you can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Managing cookies" below). We do not sell your data. The advertising tools below share measurement data with the company that runs them only if you accept.

All of the above are strictly necessary for the Service or website to function securely. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly-necessary cookies do not require prior consent, but we tell you about them here for transparency. Each item above is deployed for a single, narrow purpose — session security, anti-abuse or CDN/security integrity — which is the basis for its strictly-necessary classification; we do not use any of them for analytics, advertising or profiling.
Consent-based cookies (set only if you accept)
Our marketing website (housingsurvey.pro) shows a cookie-consent banner on first visit. Nothing in this section loads or sets a cookie unless you click Accept. The table below names every technology this site is configured to set on consent — some may not yet be actively collecting data if we have not finished setting them up on our end (see "Status" per row), but none of them ever loads before you accept:

Meta, LinkedIn, OpenAI and Google are all based outside the UK; see the international transfers note in our Privacy Policy (clause 5) for how that is handled. We will update this table if we enable further providers, with no change to how consent works: they will still load only after you accept, never before.
Our portal (portal.housingsurvey.pro) has its own cookie banner. Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4), which sets _ga cookies, and Firebase Performance Monitoring load there only if you click Accept; you can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the portal. They collect page views, key actions and timings only, never your Evidence or organisation data.
Our mobile apps use Firebase Analytics automatically; there is no cookie banner in a mobile app. It collects only anonymised product-usage data (screen views, key actions) and never your Evidence or organisation data. We rely on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for this, consistent with clause 10 of the Privacy Policy. If you would prefer we not process this diagnostic/analytics data about your organisation's use of the app, contact support and we will consider a technical opt-out.
Crash and error reporting: our mobile apps use Firebase Crashlytics automatically (no opt-in toggle, same basis as product analytics above) for native crash reports — stack trace, device/OS info, app version; not linked to your account identity. The website, portal and apps each also carry a structured technical-error signal (unhandled script errors, no personal data) via the Firebase Analytics channel already described above — website and portal: consent-based; mobile apps: automatic. Crashlytics has no web equivalent, so the website's nearest tool is Firebase Performance Monitoring (this section) plus that error signal, not a crash reporter.
Videos on our website
The app videos on our website are hosted on YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you press play. YouTube (Google) then receives your IP address and may use cookies or local storage under its own privacy policy.
Managing cookies
You can withdraw or change your consent choice at any time using "Manage cookies" in the website footer, the "Manage / withdraw cookie consent" button on this page, or Cookie settings in the portal — each reopens the consent banner so you can pick again. If you reject or withdraw consent, the website deletes the OpenAI pixel's __oppref and __obref cookies. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website, portal or app from working (for example, staying signed in, or submitting a protected form).
Changes
We will update this notice if our use of cookies changes, with a new version and date.
