The schedule calendar

Who can do thisPermission: scheduling ≥ 1

Schedule helps you allocate surveys and repair visits to the right person at the right time, and confirm they were actually on-site.

What it is

The schedule shows upcoming and unassigned work in a calendar view. From here you assign a job to a surveyor or a contractor, and the assignee sees it in their mobile inbox with its due date. Emergency and overdue items are highlighted so the most time-critical work surfaces first.

How to do it

  1. Open Schedule from the sidebar.
  2. Review unassigned and upcoming work in the calendar.
  3. Assign a job to a surveyor or a contractor from the dispatch pool — the dashboard can suggest who to send based on practical factors such as travel distance, though the final choice is always yours.
  4. The assignee sees the job in their mobile app inbox with its due date once assigned.

How it integrates

  • When a surveyor or operative arrives on-site, a GPS check-in records their presence at the property; for a damp & mould case this also stamps when works began, feeding the Awaab’s Law timeline.
  • Where your organisation enables it, a survey can only be started and edited within a set radius of the property in the capture app — configured under Settings → Capture policy.
  • Who can assign, reassign or dispatch work is governed by the role and permissions model — see The Settings hub.

Common problems

  • A job doesn’t appear as unassigned even though nobody has been sent it. Check it hasn’t already been picked up by an earlier assignment that was later reassigned — the schedule reflects the current assignment only.
  • A suggested assignee doesn’t make sense for this job. Suggestions are based on location and coverage; you can always assign to anyone with the right permissions instead.
  • A surveyor’s presence wasn’t recorded even though they were on-site. GPS check-in needs location permission granted on the device and, for edits, needs to happen inside the property’s configured radius if your organisation enforces one.
